Holly Thomas

Holly Thomas is a Senior Research and Policy Officer within the Strategic Policy division of the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC). She is responsible for monitoring and evaluating trends and issues that may have an impact on financial consumers, conducting research, and contributing to financial sector policy discussions. Her key files include modernization in banking and payments, including open banking.

Prior to joining FCAC in 2015, Dr. Thomas worked as a sessional lecturer at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University, as well as a large financial institution in several frontline positions. She holds a PhD in Sociology from Carleton University.
