Below you will find the terms and conditions for both entering the Open Banking Expo Awards and booking to attend the Open Banking Expo Awards ceremony. Please ensure you have read these before submitting an entry or making a booking.
TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ENTERING
Definitions and Interpretation
In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following words shall have the following meanings:
Awards
The competition known as the Open Banking Expo Awards whereby Open Banking and Open Finance products, services and initiatives are judged by an independent panel and awards are given in relation to the Categories.
Category
Each particular category within the Awards listed and detailed on the Website.
Closing Date
The deadline for submissions as stated on the Website.
Entrant
An individual, organisation or team that submits an Entry for the Awards.
Entry
The material submitted for the Awards by the Entrant.
Fee
The relevant entry fee payable by the Entrant for the corresponding Category as set out on the Website.
Organiser
Borough Bench Media Ltd trading as Open Banking Expo.
Rules
These terms and conditions and any other rules published on the Website.
Website
The Awards website accessible via www.openbankingexpo.com.
Winner
The Entrant selected as the winner in a Category.
Changes to the Awards
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, amend or withdraw all or any part of the Awards or these Rules at any time.
Any changes will be published on the Website.
By submitting an Entry, the Entrant agrees to comply with these Rules.
In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct or results of the Awards, the decision of the Organiser shall be final.
Awards Entrants
The Awards are open to Entrants from any jurisdiction unless otherwise stated.
By entering the Awards, the Entrant warrants that all information submitted is true, accurate and complete.
The Organiser reserves the right to verify any information contained in an Entry and the Entrant’s eligibility to enter the Awards.
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify an Entrant where it has reasonable grounds to believe that the Entrant has breached these Rules, any applicable law, or infringed the intellectual property rights of any third party.
If a Winner is disqualified, the Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative Winner.
The Awards Process
All Entries must be submitted using the official entry forms provided on the Website.
Unless otherwise stated, Entries should focus primarily on work undertaken during the qualifying period stated on the Website.
An Entry may be submitted to multiple Categories where relevant.
An Entrant may submit multiple Entries within the same Category where the Entries relate to different products, services or initiatives.
Multiple Entries may be submitted by a single organisation.
Entrants must ensure that accurate and up-to-date contact details are provided when submitting an Entry.
Entrants are responsible for retaining a copy of their Entry prior to submission.
Upon receipt of an Entry, the Organiser will confirm submission by email. If confirmation is not received within three days, it is the Entrant’s responsibility to contact the Organiser.
Only fully completed Entries will be accepted and word limits must be observed.
Entries may not be amended once submitted. Any concerns regarding submitted material should be raised directly with the Organiser.
Any attempt to influence the judging process outside of the official Entry submission may result in disqualification.
All Entries must be submitted in the English language.
Entries will only be considered for judging once the applicable Fee has been paid in full.
Entries must be submitted before the Closing Date.
Shortlisted Entrants will be announced in accordance with the timeline published on the Website.
Winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony and published on the Website.
Entry materials will be treated as confidential and shared only with the judging panel and Awards administrators for the purposes of judging.
Judging
Entries will be assessed by an independent panel of judges appointed by the Organiser.
Judges will assess Entries based on the criteria published on the Website.
Judges will not score Entries where a conflict of interest exists.
The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding judging decisions.
The Organiser reserves the right not to award a Category if, in the judges’ opinion, the Entries do not meet the required standard.
Integrity and Reputation
The Organiser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withdraw, amend or rescind a shortlist position or award where it reasonably believes that an
Entrant’s conduct, business practices or public reputation could bring the Awards or the Organiser into disrepute.
This includes, but is not limited to, circumstances where an Entrant becomes subject to regulatory investigation, legal proceedings, enforcement action, insolvency proceedings, or other matters that may materially affect the credibility or integrity of the Awards.
The Organiser’s decision in such circumstances shall be final.
The Organiser also reserves the right to remove or amend references to a
Winner or shortlisted Entrant in Awards publicity where this is considered necessary to protect the reputation of the Awards.
Publicity and Marketing
By submitting an Entry, the Entrant grants the Organiser the right to reference the Entrant name, company name, logos and submitted materials in connection with the promotion of the Awards.
The Organiser may publish the names of shortlisted Entrants and Winners in Awards publicity.
Shortlisted Entrants and Winners may reference their achievement in marketing materials provided the relevant Awards year and Category are clearly stated.
Use of the Awards logo must comply with any branding guidelines issued by the Organiser.
Governing Law
These Rules and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ATTENDING THE AWARDS EVENT
The Event
The Open Banking Expo Awards is an event administered by Borough Bench Media Ltd trading as Open Banking Expo and incorporates an evening awards ceremony.
Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
Attendee
An individual who has booked to attend the Event.
Event
The Open Banking Expo Awards ceremony.
Organiser
Borough Bench Media Ltd.
Registration Fee
The fee payable to attend the Event.
Substitution
A request for one Attendee to attend the Event in place of another.
Booking and Payment
Attendance at the Event is confirmed only once the Registration Fee has been paid in full.
Registration Fees are payable in GBP (£).
Payment may be made by credit card or bank transfer.
Where an invoice is issued, payment must be received within 30 days of the invoice date and in all cases before the Event takes place.
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel bookings where payment is not received within the required timeframe.
Event Attendance
Registration Fees cover attendance at the Awards ceremony and any catering specified on the Awards website.
Travel and accommodation are not included.
Attendees must ensure dietary requirements are provided at the time of registration.
Specialist dietary requests that require externally sourced catering (for example kosher meals) may incur an additional charge.
Cancellations and Substitutions
Bookings are non-refundable.
Substitutions may be requested in writing prior to the Event and are subject to approval by the Organiser.
Event Changes
The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Event programme, schedule, speakers or venue where necessary.
In the event of circumstances beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, pandemic, industrial action or venue closure, the Organiser reserves the right to change the date, time or venue of the Event.
Photography and Filming
The Event may be photographed or filmed for promotional and editorial purposes.
By attending the Event, Attendees grant the Organiser permission to use images or recordings in which they may appear for marketing or promotional purposes.
Attendee Conduct
Attendees are expected to behave professionally and respectfully throughout the Event.
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any Attendee whose behaviour is deemed disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate, without refund.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from attendance at the Event.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
