As part of Project Helvetia team, he is addressing functional, operational and policy questions related to the issuance of a wholesale CBDC. Before joining the BIS Innovation Hub, Oliver was a senior economist at the Swiss National Bank and a visiting fellow at the Sveriges Riksbank. Oliver holds a PhD in economics from the University of Basel.
