Instant payments provider Brite Payments has partnered with Germany-based OXID eSales, which provides ecommerce shop solutions, to extend ‘Brite Instant Payments’ and ‘Brite Instant Payouts’ to users of OXID’s shop system via plug-and-pay integration.

Through its ‘OXID eShop’ system, OXID eSales offers ecommerce merchants a “scalable” and “customisable” shop platform for B2B and B2C businesses across a range of industries.

It supports a number of different payment solutions that enable merchants to customise their checkout and maximise conversion rates.

The Brite Instant Payments Network uses Open Banking technology to process account-to-account (A2A) payments in real time between consumers and online merchants, removing the need for manual card data entry or app downloads, while Brite Instant Payouts enables OXID’s merchants to “streamline” ecommerce refunds.

“With Brite Instant Payments, merchants can expand their checkout with a leading Pay by Bank provider, giving consumers a fast and convenient way to pay,” said Gerd Kasdorf, head of sales at OXID eSales.

“OXID is committed to making the checkout process as simple and flexible as possible – it’s clear that instant payments fit the bill perfectly.”

Lena Hackelöer, founder and chief executive officer of Brite Payments, said that Brite Instant Payments can be easily integrated into existing shops to facilitate a smooth payment experience for consumers.

“Additionally, merchants benefit from real-time transaction processing, which means predictable cashflow, reduced fraud risk, and lower operational costs,” she added.

Research by Brite Payments found that 67% of Germans are familiar with Pay by Bank, while 36% of 18 to 29-year-olds already use this payment method either daily or weekly.

The research revealed that four in 10 Germans are willing to try new forms of online payment.
