Spiris is entering into a partnership with Open Payments to strengthen bank integration and payment flows directly within the platform. The goal is to simplify everyday work for businesses and accounting firms through more automated, unified and secure financial workflows.
Bank connectivity and payments – directly in Spiris
Spiris has long been building tools that help entrepreneurs and accounting firms work smarter with their finances. As the need for faster, more integrated and less manual processes increases, bank data and payments are becoming an increasingly important part of the overall user experience.
With Open Payments, Spiris gains a technical foundation for developing new services where account information and payments become a natural part of the user’s workflow – without additional logins, file handling or switching between systems.
“For us, it’s crucial to create simple and secure flows for businesses and accounting firms. With Open Payments, we get a partner with a strong understanding of the banking market and a platform that enables Spiris to build financial services faster,” said Patrik Cardell, head of business development & extended business at Spiris.
From administration to flow – the next step for the platform
With the Open Payments API platform, Spiris can offer bank connectivity and payment initiation where users already work. This makes it possible to fetch account data and initiate payments securely, without leaving the platform.
For Spiris users, this means, among other things, the ability to:
- Connect bank accounts directly in Spiris
- View balances and transactions in real time
- Create, approve and initiate payments in a seamless flow
- Receive automated reconciliations
The result is a more cohesive way of working, where accounting, banking and payments are connected – and where time can be spent on the business instead of administration.
A platform for further innovation
The partnership also creates conditions for Spiris to launch new financial features and experiences faster. With Open Payments as an integration layer, Spiris can continue to execute its roadmap and gradually build a more complete, integrated financial offering.
“We’re pleased to have earned Spiris’ trust,” said Louise Brandt, chief executive officer and founder of Open Payments.
“Spiris has a clear ambition to make finance simpler for businesses and accounting firms. With Open Payments, they can connect banks and systems in a way that both increases control and reduces manual work – and that’s exactly the kind of change we want to drive in the Nordics.”
A step towards more integrated business payments in the Nordics
The agreement strengthens Open Payments’ position as an integration layer for business payments in the Nordics. Together with Spiris, Open Payments continues its work to make payments more integrated, automated and seamless – what we call Banking Power.
