Q&A: Swati Dublish of Innova Solutions on the talking points at OBExpo USA 2025

In this Q&A with Swati Dublish, vice president, banking and financial services solutions head at Innova Solutions, she reveals what she believes are the key topics to be discussed at Open Banking Expo USA on June 26.

1. Can you tell us more about Innova Solutions – what is its offering?

Innova Solutions is a global hybrid domain and strategy consulting, technology services and talent solutions company. We are trusted by customers across banking & financial services, insurance, healthcare & lifesciences, retail & CPG, travel; transportation & hospitality, manufacturing & automative, communications & hi-tech, media & entertainment and public sector.

We focus on innovation while providing services around digital product & application engineering, cloud & infrastructure, data & analytics, AI & automation and cybersecurity.

2. What does your role at Innova Solutions entail?

I head solutions for banking & financial services at Innova Solutions. My role is best defined as bringing together the banker’s perspective to the technologist and the art of the possible that emerging technologies offer to the BFS world. Our strategy is driven by six key industry themes of hyperpersonalization, digital payments, AI everywhere, nExT Gen Cores, BaaS and EmFi and digital wealth.

We bring 28 forward-thinking industry solution offerings in these areas, which align to our clients’ digital transformation vision. InnoWallet, our closed loop A2A payments platform, and Open Banking API Hub, our Open Banking adoption accelerator are two such examples that we are bringing to Open Banking Expo USA.

3. In your view, what are the key topics to be discussed at Open Banking Expo USA?

In my opinion, any discussion around Open Banking should be a convergence of its three anchors: Collaboration, innovation and monetization.

Key threads to bring attention to include frameworks like data ownership, user consent, interoperability, business impact, including Baas and EmFi; as well as product design, technology considerations, like data security and privacy; third party access, customer experience, including transparency; financial inclusion, risk mitigation with trust frameworks and, last but not least, the future potential, like Open Finance, cross-border payments, and central bank digital currencies (CBDC).

4. Why should the industry attend the inaugural Open Banking Expo USA?

Forums like Open Banking Expo play a pivotal role in building the Open Banking community and providing a platform for disparate voices to be acknowledged, as this area continues to evolve and grow.

My personal experience at Open Banking Expo Canada last year was both enriching and empowering, as I came to appreciate various perspectives and found validation for Innova’s offerings in the space.
