Moneyhub, the leading data and intelligence platform for financial institutions, announced that Rently Solutions (trading as Brick Rewards) has selected its Open Banking and advanced categorisation and enrichment infrastructure to power the next generation of its app.
Embedding Moneyhub’s market-leading technology directly into the Brick Rewards app will transform rent, the single largest monthly outgoing for millions, into a powerful tool for financial growth. This integration enables renters to effortlessly enhance their credit scores, access gamified rewards, and build long-term financial resilience through a seamlessly embedded data experience.
Currently available to renters in London, Brick Rewards enables users to earn points simply by paying their rent on time and spending at participating local businesses. Points can be redeemed for gift cards, local perks including independent cafés and gyms, and rent credits. The app also offers a premium feature that automatically reports rent payments to credit bureau Experian, enabling renters to build their credit history without any manual effort.
At the heart of the platform is Moneyhub’s Open Banking infrastructure, which securely detects when rent has been paid and identifies eligible spending at partner businesses. This all happens automatically, with no need for manual uploads or thinking about which card to use to get the rewards.
The launch comes as the Renters’ Rights Act continues to reshape the UK’s private rental market, bringing increased focus on the relationship between tenants and landlords and the long-term financial wellbeing of renters.
