Carolyn Burke

As Head, Enterprise Payments, Ms. Burke is responsible for leading RBC’s enterprise payments strategy and council, covering the spectrum of wholesale to business to retail payments, as well as for RBC’s payment modernization program. Ms. Burke is dedicated to serving the payments ecosystem through her on-going participation and leadership in the industry. An active speaker and panellist, Ms. Burke was named Women in Payments’ Distinguished Payments Professional 2016.

Ms. Burke is a current Director of Rise, a charitable board. Past board service includes several national and international boards and member groups, including Payments Canada, CPA, Payments Canada MAC (past chair), Interac, Acxsys, CertaPay, and Mondex.

Ms. Burke joined RBC in 1985 and has occupied a wide range of positions, from product management to marketing and sales, and operations. Her career has focused both on payments and digital banking as well as business banking.

She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from McGill University and has obtained the Chartered Director (C.Dir.) designation from The Directors College (a joint venture between McMaster University and The Conference Board of Canada).
