John Penrose

John Penrose has been the Conservative Member of Parliament for Weston-super-Mare since 2005. In Government, John has been Lord Commissioner of HM Treasury, Minister of State in the Northern Ireland Office, Constitution Minister in the Cabinet Office, and Tourism & Heritage Minister in the Department for Culture, Media, and Sport. More recently, John also served as the Prime Minister’s Anti-Corruption Champion from 2017-2022. Prior to entering politics, John had an extensive business career, which included roles at JP Morgan, McKinsey, Thompson and Pearson PLC. John also helped found Credit Market Analysis (publishing credit data for financial firms). John chairs the Conservative Policy Forum.
