Rema is an accomplished advisory board member, leader and public speaker with over 11 years of experience within the Payments, e-Commerce and Financial Services industries globally. She has been based in Malaysia, Singapore, Chile and now the Netherlands specialising in go to market and business strategy, electronic money institutions setup and operationalisation, financial crime advisory and intelligence, audits and due diligence investigations for large-scale organisations.

Rema currently leads compliance and oversees the strategic financial products of Uber’s Payments operations in APAC bringing in $3.4B Rev across 9 unique markets. Concurrently, she is the Global Board Member and Chair of Women at Uber EMEA, an Employee Resource Group within Uber to empower women with experiences that further their advancement and development into strong advocates and leaders. Additionally, Rema is an experienced public speaker on embedded finance, payments and women empowerment.
