Charlotte Crosswell to speak at Open Banking Expo UK next month

Charlotte Crosswell, the newly-appointed Chair of the Open Banking Implementation Entity (OBIE), will be delivering the closing keynote at this year’s Open Banking Expo in London, UK on 4 November.

It will be Crosswell’s first public appearance since being appointed to her new role at the OBIE.

She will deliver her keynote at 17:10 on the main stage, bringing to a close the event which will play host to more than 80 headline speakers and reunite the Open Banking and Open Finance community across four stages.

Charlotte CrosswellThe new OBIE Chair will use her speech to set out her vision for the future of Open Banking and how, as an industry, we need to ensure it doesn’t become a missed opportunity in the UK.

Crosswell (pictured), who joined the OBIE earlier this year as transition lead, served until May 2021 as CEO of Innovate Finance, the industry body which represents UK fintech.

She said in a recent statement: “OBIE personnel past and present have helped to establish the UK as a recognised world leader in Open Banking.

“Four million consumers and small businesses in the UK now use services powered by Open Banking technology. Everyone who works for the OBIE believes in the mission, and that has been powerful and inspiring to witness.”

This year, Open Banking Expo is taking place at the Business Design Centre in London on 4 November.
