African payments technology company Flutterwave has partnered with payment processing specialist Acquired.com to help users process domestic card payments on its remittance product, Send App.

The collaboration means Send App will be able to provide faster and more secure outward remittance transactions for UK and EU cardholders sending money to Africa.

As part of the partnership, Acquired.com and Flutterwave are working together on payments optimisation, where Acquired.com provides tailored analysis, recommendations, and intelligent BIN routing to enhance Flutterwave’s processing capabilities.

James Hardy, senior vice president, consumer business at Flutterwave, said: “We are dedicated to enhancing the customer experience by working with the best partners to improve speed, transparency, and facilitating hassle-free money transfers.

“To achieve this, we have partnered with the industry’s leading platform to support our business goals. Acquired.com’s expertise and highly consultative approach makes them an ideal partner for us.”

Send App underwent a rebrand in August last year, with the introduction of new features, such as in-app support and voucher codes. At the same time, Flutterwave announced the expansion of Send App to the US and Canada to enable the individuals in the African diaspora in those countries to send funds and make money transfers to family and friends in Africa.

Mark Johnson, commercial director at Acquired.com, added: “We have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Flutterwave, tailoring our solution to meet the specific needs and address the challenges of the most trusted payments infrastructure providers on the African continent.

“Our customised analysis and recommendations have helped Flutterwave build on its success rates, increase collections, and enhance the customer experience – which is at the core of our service.”
