OpenPayd, a leading provider of financial infrastructure, has announced the appointment of Yasemin Swanson as its chief operations officer. Swanson joins from ClearBank, where she was chief business officer.
In her new role, Swanson will be scaling OpenPayd’s operational infrastructure to support global expansion and the continued development of payment innovations that meet and exceed regulatory standards.
Swanson brings a wealth of experience in operational excellence, KYC, and AML monitoring, with a proven track record of developing and enhancing operating models across the financial services sector.
During her tenure at ClearBank, she was responsible for developing and implementing the bank’s target operating model, as well as ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. She delivered the first phase of the operating model transformation and successfully implemented the APP Fraud Reimbursement Scheme.
Swanson’s previous roles also include digital and operations director at Barclays Payments. Responsible for a 300-plus person global team, Swanson drove improvements in speed, compliance and customer satisfaction across the card issuing and acquiring operations and the onboarding arm of the business.
On the appointment of Swanson, Iana Dimitrova, chief executive officer of OpenPayd, said: “We are delighted that Yasemin has joined OpenPayd as our chief operations officer. We are confident that her experience will enable us to continue fostering a high-performance culture that aligns with our ongoing growth and innovation goals.”
Yasemin Swanson, chief operations officer at OpenPayd, said: “OpenPayd is breaking down barriers in global payments, and I’m thrilled to help build the operational backbone for a truly borderless financial future.
“I’m eager to work with our talented team and develop a world-class operational framework that drives scalability, regulatory compliance, and customer trust – ultimately enabling OpenPayd to expand its reach and impact without losing the agility that defines its culture.”
