PRETA, which owns and manages the payment solution MyBank, has opened up its centralised interface, the MyBank Gateway, to payer payment service providers (PSPs).

MyBank is open to all authorised PSPs in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), including credit institutions and payment institutions.

The e-authorisation solution enables online banking-based payments via SEPA Credit Transfer.

By enhancing its interface, PRETA said it intends to facilitate the onboarding of payer PSPs across Europe by easing their integration into MyBank through a direct connection model using a new set of APIs.

PSPs can use the MyBank Gateway to enable account-to-account payments for their customers with immediate confirmation and automated reconciliation.

“We aim to make the integration of the MyBank solution even simpler and more affordable,” said Tarik Zerkti, CEO of PRETA, which is a fully owned subsidiary of EBA Clearing.

“The MyBank Gateway becomes a key component for PRETA to enable the payment service providers of both payees and payers to join our network.”

According to Worldpay’s Global Payments Report 2020, payments based on bank transfer are expected to grow by 20% in the next three years.
