Mastercard and Wealnest have announced a strategic collaboration that will incorporate Mastercard Open Finance capabilities into the Wealnest digital wealth management platform, allowing users to securely aggregate and manage financial information from across the European banking ecosystem.

Mastercard’s Open Finance technology will be integrated into the Wealnest platform, enabling customers to synchronise balances and financial information from multiple institutions through a secure and seamless experience. This integration will provide a more complete view of wealth for all users, helping them make better financial decisions and simplifying wealth management.

The alliance marks a milestone for the European wealth management industry, as Wealnest becomes one of the first ecosystem integrators in Europe to incorporate Mastercard Open Finance technology.

As part of the agreement, Wealnest will also join Mastercard For Fintechs, Mastercard’s global program designed to support innovative fintech companies through access to technology, pilot opportunities and business development resources.

The collaboration comes at a time when consumers are increasingly demanding connected digital financial experiences and greater visibility into their assets, investments and banking relationships. By combining Mastercard’s trusted Open Finance infrastructure with the Wealnest wealth management platform, both companies aim to accelerate innovation in the wealth management sector and improve financial wellbeing for consumers across Europe.

“Collaborating with Mastercard represents an important step in our mission to simplify wealth management and make it more accessible for everyone,” said Miguel Ángel Fernández, co-founder of Wealnest.

“Integrating Mastercard Open Finance capabilities allows us to offer our users a more connected and comprehensive view of their finances, as we continue to expand our platform across Europe. Working with a global technology leader like Mastercard reinforces our commitment to innovation, security and creating real value for our users.”

Juan Pablo Vivas, country manager of Mastercard Spain, said: “Open Finance technology has the potential to transform the way people understand and manage their financial lives.

“Through our collaboration with Wealnest, we are extending the benefits of secure data connectivity to the realm of wealth management, helping consumers access a more complete view of their finances. We are delighted to welcome Wealnest to the Mastercard for Fintech community and look forward to supporting their continued growth and international expansion.”

Founded in Spain in 2025, Wealnest was created with the goal of simplifying wealth management for both individuals and financial professionals through a technology platform that combines asset aggregation, portfolio visibility and tools focused on financial wellbeing. The company already operates in 15 countries and has more than €300 million in assets registered on its platform.

The agreement coincides with Wealnest’s current funding round, which aims to support its international expansion and the continued development of its advisor marketplace and technology ecosystem for wealth management.
