Global digital engineering company Nagarro will license and further develop Temenos ‘Country Model Banks’ for financial institutions in Romania and Poland, in light of a new agreement between the two companies.

By partnering, Nagarro will develop and build new model banks compatible with Temenos’ composable platform and Software-as-a-Service offerings on Temenos Banking Cloud.

The new agreement builds on the companies’ existing partnership, which has seen Nagarro complete more than 43 projects involving Temenos Transact implementation and transformation, along with 20 Temenos upgrades, and engage in 350 projects across diverse Temenos solutions.

As part of the agreement, Nagarro will invest in and develop regulatory and business-specific localised functionality, enhancing the Temenos model banks for financial institutions in Romania and Poland.

Nagarro has been operating in Romania since 1998 and in Poland since 2014, across seven delivery centres.

Nagarro’s experience in the banking and financial services industry, along with its well-established presence in both countries, is expected to bring added value and expertise to Temenos’ customers in these markets.

Ross Mallace, executive vice president and global head of SaaS and partner ecosystem at Temenos, said: “Nagarro will become a trusted partner for the development and maintenance of country model banks for these two countries and help customers in their progressive technology renovation.”

Vishwanath Rajashekarappa, co-founder of Nagarro, said: “We are delighted to be granted this license by Temenos to develop country model banks to drive growth and customer success.

“This agreement is a testament to our capabilities as a long-standing partner of Temenos and our knowledge of local market practices and regulations.”

With a focus on localised functionality and customer success, the agreement will drive growth and provide improved banking solutions in Romania and Poland, according to Temenos.

Last year, Puerto Rico-based Segura Bank chose Temenos’ banking platform to power a new digital bank in the cloud, serving mid- to high-earners in Latin America.

Back in December 2022, Temenos granted license rights to NdcTech, one of its largest regional system integrators partners, to expand the market reach of ‘Temenos Country Model Banks’ in seven Middle Eastern countries.
