TrueLayer has unveiled a Payments Platform Programme, which already counts Stripe, Thunes, Nuvei and Airwallex among its partner members.

The new partner programme gives payments platforms access to TrueLayer’s entire range of APIs, as well as integration tools and specialist support.

In turn, partners will be able to offer European Open Banking platform TrueLayer’s instant payments, payouts and data capabilities to their customers.

Merchants can then rapidly integrate instant bank payments via their existing provider, and will also be able to use TrueLayer’s existing plugins with platforms including Magento, Shopify and WooCommerce.

TrueLayer chief executive officer and co-founder Francesco Simoneschi said its intention is to make it as convenient as possible for both merchants and consumers to access its payments network.

“Our Payments Platform Programme enables us to do just that. By partnering with major payment platforms, we are making it easier and quicker to integrate Open Banking payments into websites, apps and even in-store,” he said.

Christophe Bourbier, managing director at Thunes, added: “Open Banking payments are gaining momentum, not only in the UK but also in the rest of Europe, and we really believe that this strong partnership with TrueLayer, a leader in the field, will help to move forward and make this new definition of smart payment a reality for all.”

TrueLayer recently onboarded UK retailer Topps Tiles, enabling the rollout of Open Banking-powered instant bank transfers to its customers, both online and in-store as a payment option.

Back in February, credit management app Incredible partnered with TrueLayer to provide variable recurring payments to its customers.
