UK-based payments provider Ryft has formed a strategic partnership with global payments company American Express to enhance its digital platform payments offerings.

This partnership will enable Ryft’s ecommerce merchants in the UK to accept payments from Amex Cards, providing increased payment flexibility.

Ryft is a unified payment platform that assists merchants in meeting their PSD2 compliance requirements, automating payouts, monetising transactions for digital platforms, and expanding the range of payment options available on digital marketplaces.

Ryft’s capabilities will expand to allow more digital platforms to add Amex as a way to pay.

By integrating Amex as a payment option, Ryft is able to offers its merchant customers the opportunity to “welcome loyal and high-spending” Amex Cardmembers.

Chief executive officer and co-founder of Ryft, Sadra Hosseini, said: “This collaboration marks a significant milestone for us, opening doors to exciting possibilities and reinforcing our commitment to delivering unparalleled value to our partners.

“Moving forward, we look forward to offering merchants innovative solutions that will redefine the way people experience payments. This partnership symbolises a powerful synergy between our two businesses, and we can’t wait to embark on this journey of growth in the marketplace space together.”

Last year, Ryft partnered with food delivery business easyFood, which is part of the easyGroup, to simplify the onboarding process for new franchise partners.

easyFood is using Ryft’s payment infrastructure to bring new franchise partners onto its system more rapidly.
